I don't mean to beat a dead horse (with a rubber gas hose),
but why would gas stream out of the hose? It starts at the top of the tank, goes up, then down all the way to the bottom of the car. Siphoning would only happen if the hose started at the bottom of the tank, wouldn't it?

The pressure from the huge volume of gas in the tank compared to the volume in the hose would result in gas streaming out like crazy.Chances of a roll over compared to a fire caused under the car I think would mean I would take the vented capa. --
