[DeTomaso] Ignition ket stuck in lock

Thanks,

I'll give it a try.  But is there anything that WD40 would hurt?  The body was painted and than set for a year.  I don't know if there is a mechanical failure, or just some corrosion.

Electronics spray cleaner available at Radio Shack might help, oh yeah, now called The Shack in the new advertising campaign by some knucklehead agency who thinks they know how to market to the very specific niche client base who frequents Radio Shack, they don't have a clue.  Tandy/Radio Shack will never be hip and they shouldn't try, the charm of the stores are the retro products and the feelings you get shopping there.

I acquired a much more finished project, and one issue is that the ignition key won't pull out of the switch.  I seem to remember someone else with this issue?  I thought about WD40, but don't want to damage anything.  Suggestions?

Thanks,

Ken
