I wish I had a local chapter that was active. I first emailed the "Island
Pantera " chapter over a year ago and I have never received a response.
Forest Majors has invited me to join the New England chapter and the guys at
"Jersey Panteras" have also extended an invitation. They are both quite a
distance away. If I could get my car to the point were I felt confident
taking a several hundred mile trip in one day I woulds join one of them. Bob
Levitt and I have found three other Pantera owners on Long island now all
we have to do is get them to agree to join us i getting an active chapter
going. If anyone in the New England or New Jersey wants to help me out or
sponsor a tech session I am in the middle of doing a brembo break upgrade
( with the help of Ken Greens parts and advice and I am supposed to be on
the list to get his new billet carrier that among other things converts from
half shafts to CV joints.I don't think I actually need a clutch. I am going
through a problem similar to AsaJay and I didn't realize how much movement
was involved in the adjustment of the clutch free play. I was trying to move
it several inches ( and puling against the pressure plate it was nearly
impossible) so I thought my clutch might have a problem. Now that I know we
are only talking about a fraction of an inch of movement I am not concerned
as I can easily move my clutch release lever that much with just my fingers.
So if any one wants to serve as host for a brembo brake upgrade tech session
I will rent a truck and car carrier if I have to and supplying a few kegs of
beer and food is not a problem , I might even be able to find a few go go
dancers!
