All,

Regarding the 4 bolt main block that I have for sale. Currently +.030 oversized bores.

Popped pistons 3 & 4 and checked for taper.  Found .001 or less over the length of the bores, so it has great promise for a honing and new rings/pistons to needs.... there is life left in it!

Tops of rod bearings were just beginning to show copper, so are not in hammered shape! Crank surfaces looked good!

Pistons are forged and it does appear that the rods were balanced.

PS Found another D2AE-CA 351C 4-bolt "if machined..." block the other day...went to pull it out Friday, and found 4 missing freeze plugs and a locked up crank once I climbed underneath it.  I left it there...... I got the feeling that something bad happened to that car to have all four freeze plugs popped at once!!!! Not going to take a chance on that..... It's not like someone would remove the starter and motor mounts, pop the plugs,, and put the mounts and starter back in place....!
