Agreed. Even worse will be trying to remove the remaining paint without 
destroying the lenses from crazing or scratching the plastic..... But hey- life 
itself is a challenge and from the photo, the things are an almost total 
loss already so any chance may be an improvement. FWIW- J Deryke
