[DeTomaso] Detomaso Registry

Go for what? A Deauville restoration or YADR (Yet Another Detomaso Registry)?
:-)

I've got enough to keep me busy for the time being. My 'other' car is
keeping me busy; just like Goran and Dick say... always something to
fix or improve... 'your way'.

I should retire before I'm unable to do these things after I retire!
Or something like that.. you know what I mean. And my garage is
already going to be full once I get my Pantera back. Talked to Dennis
just now; he was actually working on my car until I interrupted by
calling him... sigh...

So everyone stop calling Dennis so he can finish my car!

Just kidding... :-)

With respect to registries, I'm always appreciative of the work people
put into the databases for little or no monetary compensation. I've
done databases before. Getting them running is one thing - the easy
part. Keeping them up to date and running is the hardest part!

In one respect, it seems a shame that all the data can't be put in one
place and '_THE_ definitive' registry created, but I understand also
that competition can be good from another perspective.

The fact that people are interested this much in the Pantera (some
will be 40 years old very soon!) is amazing in itself. And, as I found
since getting my GT40, there is another group of people who are just
as interested in a another car that is passing 45 years now (and there
were very few of those cars to start with!).

By the way, I think you'd be surprised how many people own a Pantera
_and_ a GT40. We are talking about starting our own club! Just
recently had another join this 'exclusive' bunch.
 :-))))

The fact that many people, including vendors, support such vehicles is
great. I and others would never be able to realize our dreams
otherwise. As I've said to many, the Pantera was what I considered an
attainable dream and I achieved it. The GT40 was a personal,
unattainable, absolute fantasy until Superformance did their thing.

OK, I've been on the soapbox too long now... Next!

Y'all have fun this weekend!
You don't need to guess much as to what I'll be doing.

Later,

Kirby
