[DeTomaso] MythBusters

There is no doubt that their are different strokes for different folks.

What's great about the Pantera platform is that it lends itself well to
accommodating a wide variety of automobile enthusiasts, from folks that
like to just drive the car to extreme gear heads that like to recreate
it in their own "image".

From the time I drove my Pantera off of the Cherner/Lincoln Mercury
lot, in Fairfax, Virginia, December 15, 1974, I have viewed the car as a
work in progress. For me, there is always going to be something else
upon which to improve, update, add on, maintain, or document.

I believe most (or a large number) of Pantera owners view their car the
same way.

While I will not make the mistake again to take on too much at one time
(my disassembly and rebuild from 1997 to 2004), I have plans for more
projects on the car than I have years left on this planet to complete.

Some of the items I "plan" to do (many with parts in hand) and not
necessarily in priority sequence are:

Install Fire Control system
Upgrade/replace AC system
New seats
New seat belts and bracket
Wheel well liners
Upgrade brakes (again)
TV rear view mirror system
Third brake light
Cruise control system
New springs
LED light upgrade
Fuse panel upgrade
Engine Management System upgrade (TEC 2 to TEC 3)

This doesn't include ongoing maintenance and repair activities that need
to be done, the most notable fixing the leaking exhaust header gasket.

The other "to do" item that I need to do (which is most always the
forgotten item) is continue to update the documentation and organization
of all the changes I have made to the car. I need to do this not just
for myself for maintenance and upgrade purposes, but for the person down
the road that will end up with the car when I am gone.
