[DeTomaso] I blew up my car

All the NASCAR heads I'ver seen have a bleeder (looks like the ones on a caliper) at one end of the head.

It all sounds frustrating beyond words.  I think the thermostat sounds
like a good candidate, and it's cheap to run it without one just to
see if there is any improvement.

Dave Williams rebuilt my iron 4V heads some time back and was
thoughtful enough to drill and tap 1/4" NPT fittings into the water
jackets at the back of the heads.  Now filling the system doesn't have
any gurgle gurgle blorp.  Just a steady hiss from the radiator drain
petcocks I installed in easy reach on each head.
