[DeTomaso] I blew up my car

Interesting point. I went back to the garage after having my lovely
wife try to cool me off for a bit (bless her). I purchased a nice point
and shoot laser/IR thermometer from Napa last weekend just so I could
monitor the temps. (now you know how I was able to get the accurate
temps.)...

anyway.. .back to the story. I slid my tiny butt under the car with the
temp gun and measured the pipes and connections from the radiator back
to the block. Starting at the radiator it was about 80 still,
increasing to about 89 toward the rear with almost 95 or so near the
block. Warmer on the passenger side (feed TO radiator), cooler on the
drivers side (feed FROM radiator).

Coolant flow as being blocked, question is where and why. I know the
radiator had fluid to the top, as I bled it from the opposite top
corner, and the system was full to the brim. I ran it for about five
minutes Sunday, just long enough to see the carb was leaking like a
sieve. I put a reseal kit through the carb last night and was going to
finish bleeding the system tonight. I topped off the swirl tank from
Sunday's run in the air and well we know the rest of that story.
