[DeTomaso] I blew up my car

That's it.... .I'm done.

Entire cooling system hooked back up and pressure tested to 18 lb. no
leaks. New Flow Kooler pump. Sucker fans on radiator, both thermo
switches on radiator tested to their stamped value. Heater hoses hooked
up with shut-off valves in open position. Filled it with coolant,
jacked the rear of the car up and ran it. After about 10 minutes of
running, output at the thermostat > 280 degrees, input at the water pump
~ 150 degrees. Temperature at the radiator 80 degrees.

I can hear the radiator cap straining.

Output temp approaching 300 degrees, input remaining the same, radiator
remaining the same

The overflow, now plumbed behind the rear wheel, is steaming like mad.

BANG!
The overflow bottle BLOWS UP. (it was an inexpensive Summit plastic one
thank God)

Radiator fans never came on, never even approached their switch
temperature.

I am about tired of this sh**.
