[DeTomaso] Headliner glue

The professional interiors shop where I bought headliner material said that "any" retail spray-on adhesive would be diluted by the propellant used and that if I brought a small jar with me, they would dish out a sample from their drum (I think they use an air gun to dispense).
I did as Kirk said...cleaned/prep'd everything real good, then brushed it on (very thin)...it has worked like a champ for a few years now.

Asa,
One solution---go to your local fabric sale shop and buy a piece of standard
fuzzy headliner material---any color---install it making sure the roof is
clean---use High Temp 3M spray glue. Clean off the back of your old liner
and install it over the new headliner. It will adhere much better to the
fuzzy cloth then to any foam replacement backer and the new foam on the new
liner material is much better then the original type..
