Although I can understand the irratation that some people feel towards Chuck's attitude of
not allowing anybody to view the registry unless they have first contributed something (I
personal find that policy annoying myself--what about the guy in the middle of nowhere,
who has no access to Panteras, but wants to find a Pantera for sale?),

Mike

That is also part of the security features that protect the privacy of the owners.

In this sample case of a guy in the middle of nowhere

I have worked personally with the potential owner/buyer in the past.

Often I can direct them (on line) to a source (on line).

For example, www.mobile.de has more than ½ dozen cars not currently in the Registry.

One only needs to contact the seller, obtain the VIN and send the photos.

They are set.

And out of concern and respect for the seller

I am quite interested in then providing a free add for that seller on the ProvaMo website

which as you

all know (right?) host the largest collection of DeTomaso cars for sale world-wide. Yea,
tooting my own horn

maybe a little, but the point is there is a LOT of traffic to ProvaMo.com by potential
buyers, so the seller

gets broader exposure for their car and at no expense.

We all know about carfax, and one needs the VIN to check a car, so sellers are (or should
be) familiar

and comfortable disclosing the VIN, and they don’t have to pay anything, like they do at
carfax.

If a potential owner is not motivated or willing enough to do a little web research to
locate a car to add,

then are they really a motivated buyer, or not really serious and just a “Looky-loo” ?
