[DeTomaso] FW: Recomendations for Deck Lid Struts THAT WORK

Dennis Quella (Pantera Performance Center) has struts that are strong enough
to lift a deck lid with wing and short enough that you will not bend your
deck lid when you close it. The struts have cushions at the end of stroke so
they will slow down as they reach the end of travel. CAUTION: They must be
mounted with the cylinder up - shaft pointed down - for the cushions to
work. Put them in with the cylinder down and they will go full speed all the
way to end of travel.

Forwarded from one of our members. Does anyone have any experience with
these products, and how much "force" would you have to order in the strut
for a standard steel deck vs.. a steel deck with a wing vs.. a carbon fiber
deck, etc.

This is as everyone knows an age old problem with a lot of opinions but I
see very few working solutions.

Has anyone tried these guys for a Pair of Deck Lid struts that will really
hold up, even in winter? http://www.lstechnologies.ca/

Anyone got any other suggestions?
