More likely 526hp is approx 550hp - assuming 2 significant digits.  You
could say 550 has 3 significant digits, but in my opinion, the zero
shouldn't count.

But I agree that if he really put it on a dyno, he would have printed the
exact hp and not the approximate hp.

Another possibility is he may know someone that has a 351C that made 550HP
and since his is approximately the same size/shape/weight, it must make
approximately the same HP.
