[DeTomaso] Factory Gr4/Gr5 race Pantera for sale

Hi guys,

The third of 14 factory Gr4 race Panteras is currently up for sale.   #2343 
was the GT4 press car, raced extensively in Gr4 and in 1976 was converted 
to Gr5 spec, with an absolutely horrible-looking, kit-car-looking body.   It 
remains in that configuration today.

Most recently, it has been racing in England, and even led the Tour 
Britannia a few weeks ago until a navigation error put them out of contention for 
the win.

Note that they had to kluge together a Stupidtrapp exhaust add-on at the 
last minute, because the organizers DB meter wasn't calibrated properly, and 
they claimed the car was too loud:

That led to serious carburetion problems, and spectacular fireballs out the 
rear of the car which eventually melted the taillight lenses!

The owners/drivers have since had a 'change of plans' and the car is now up 
for sale.

The asking price is likely to be quite high, and it would take a lot of 
money to restore it to proper Gr4 configuration.   But factory Gr4 chassis 
don't exactly grow on trees.   So if you've ever had a hankering for one, you
