Our own venerable Mike Drew often comes up with some oddity from
Panteradom that turns heads. Well, he's done it again. This time Mike
has managed to find and reproduce with the help of another member, a
drawing that shows the original body dimensions of the Pantera.
Although he did not find the original, he got about as close as we can
without actually having the original.
Mike was curious about this drawing so he wrote to Tom Tjaarda and this
is what Tom said:

Notes from Tom Tjaarda:
The drawing is the final full size draft to make the master model, that
is the final model that is to be used to make all the dies and fixtures
to produce the Pantera. Back then these drawings were done by hand, not
computers, and had to be very precise and as accurate as was humanly
possible. Any small error resulted in inaccurate die making and led to
numerous corrections down the line regarding fit and finish quality.
I wonder where this (original) drawing is today ?
The original drawing was made at Ghia where Sig. Venanzio Dibiasi was
responsible for the production of the Pantera, then assembled at the
Vignale plant just outside Torino.
