I talked to a tech guy at Stewart Pumps a couple years also and asked about using their electric remote pump on a Pantera and he couldn't promise that it would work, but then I asked about using two, and he said that should work fine.

This brings up a good question for comparison of pumps; On capacity quotes for a mechanical water pump does anyone know at what rpm the rated gpm is at?

Newer electric pumps can be had at 55gpm, whereas many first generation electric pumps were 35gpm. and yes under capacity.
