[DeTomaso] L versus pre L

Im one of the guys who thought an L model had to have the later dash.I researched it for like 5 seconds in one of the maybe,maybe not accurate books that are out there about the Pantera.
It states that the L was serial # 4269-4839 in 1972 and serial #s 4840 up in 1973.The book states that the L model upgrades  are;
Big bumpers,added light for the rocker switches,Arriva tires,that annoying seat belt buzzer(guess what i dont have anymore?Yes i wear a belt so no scolding)"positive retention of the spare tire"(what d, it hover before?)Switches are labeled,brake pad warning light,external gas cap,low compression engine,rotating defroster outlets,air cleaner facing forward,relays all on drivers side,deck lid shocks turned upside down,dzus fastners to hold down the trunk,dual rheostats for dash lights, better anti icing switch on the A/C,silicone sealer put in the front window gasket,Different front grill that lets you unbolt the hood if cable snaps,an extra front hood cable(they are really confidant in that hood latch,huh)taller engine cover,different wiper motor,dust shields on rear axle bearings,different water heater shut off valve,moved the window washer bottle,new front wheel nuts(cotter pins are nice)bigger battery,filed burrs on shift gate plate,front wheel seals
 get a splash shield,anti chafing strip added to seats so the frame does not hurt s much.battery vented to prevent corrosion,water temp gauge now reads 260,redid front wheel openings to reduce tire rub.
No 2 pod versus single pod dash changes mentioned.Dang,my fence fell over.
