[DeTomaso] Clutch pedal return spring

Hi Ed,
I would think it is two fold. 1. too remove any pressure going to the slave
from the arm resting on the M/C (I would not think this is a big deal in our
setup). 2. too help the clutch engage buy removing all pressure from the
slave to the MC, allowing the slave to compress faster (well maybe).
All in all I think you are fine but, I think I need a ride to be sure...

Guys:
What is the purpose for the clutch pedal retrun spring? Mine has been broken
for a while and the clutch seems to function fine.
Ed...

Do we actually know that to be true?
Everybody here who has replaced his stock springs with vendor-sourced
made-in-USA replacements, and then subsequently had one of those
replacements
break, please raise your hands?
I'm interested to know if this is actually true, or just urban legend.
Mike (whose aftermarket stock-style replacement springs are still going
strong, I think?)
