James, the May '08 POCA News had a pretty comprehensive listing of 
'performance' batteries, mostly foreign made and with variable brand names, in a 
4-pg article (too much for an e-mail post). These are the ones that are smaller 
and lighter than the truck-sized batteries that will fit a stock '71-'78 
Pantera with battery up in the front trunk. Since maybe half the cars nowadays 
have dropped or relocated batteries, buying a small size unit makes sense 
and depends heavily on whether you drive the car often in cold weather. FWIW, 
I personally use a small Costco-marketed Kirkland battery, less than $50, 
intended for a late Toyota MR-2 that has worked fine for 4 years in N. 
Nevada, in a dropped box up front. Good luck- J Deryke
