[DeTomaso] windshield trim

So I have my windshield is now installed without trim!  No  problem!  Looks 
good  and has not fallen out or leaked!
 
By the reports, it seems that if someone wanted to put the trim in, they  
would then have to remove the glass & gasket assembly from the car, install  
the trim and re-install the whole assembly.  
 
Did I get that right??
