[DeTomaso] USA GTS black paint

Larry,

 

I cannot see why US destined GTS would be painted different at the factory, despite the US destined GTS cars not getting the full performance upgrade of Euro GTS status.

 

The black is a 'satin' usually referred to as a 'semi gloss' here in the US, but IMO a semi gloss has too much sheen in comparison to a true Euro satin black. Maybe repainted US cars ended up that way as a true satin color match is difficult to obtain here?
