Larry,
You are too old to ride that bike! You might injure a tree. Don't forget
your back.

What kind of acid should be used & don't tell me to pee in it.

I say this Indy Dave...

Have him save the money and buy a good set of boots.

My 71 K6 175 Kaw is going to get started over the winter. It has not run in
30 some years. I will wash the tank out with some acid and see how it looks.
Old bike tanks are made with thick steel (so you can hit the tree faster, no
not you Larry) and it should be fine. If it looks good, run it!

A friend is restoring a small trail bike, Honda Mini Trail Z50. He was told
by a painter to have the gas tank sealed. There are no issues of known rust
or leaks. The bike sat for several years. Any thoughts on washing the tank
to remove any surface rust? Any thoughts of sealing the tank or not? The
tank is small, maybe 1-1/2 gal. All thoughts are appreciated, what say you
Larry in Cleveland???

Thanks

IndyDave
