Dan I'll apologize ahead of time for perhaps being too basic. However, with mechanical secondaries, they will only open if the primaries are opened first. To clarify, if you only try to manually open the secondaries by hand twisting the their linkage, they will not open. This has been in the back of my mind since this thread was started. JT
