For # 1, If you go back to the "an engine is just an airpump" thing

HP = some constant x airflow,
 so long as you don't change A/F, compression, etc along the way, so HP 
is the answer
And it makes sense because
airflow = another constant x RPM x displacement
so displacement isn't the answer.
