Ken,
I have solid rotors on my Mustang Gt350r clone track car (barely street
legal)
We did change the original brake compound as the first one
was too hard... I ran the car for 3 years with 12 hard track days
before destroying the motor... Solids worked great
New motor is in it but I am playing with that Black Italian car right now
It will be my spare if the Black one breaks

My #3 Black Pantera has the six piston front, four piston back
Wilwood set up with big vented rotors but they are solid. I have had
them on the car for 5 years with still the same pads

time on them:
4 years at the Vegas track
3 times to Thunderhill
1 time at Sears point
1 silver state
about 8 autocrosses
one Virgina city hillclimb
Many backroad Bob's special hillclimbs
Weekly trips to the Wednesday cruise night
I was told that if I race the car I should use the
solid rotors... didn't ask on the mustang but my
local Norcal Shelby vendor and racer sold me
the solid Baer setup. I have never had brake
fade on either car and I do drive them hard on the track
I am no expert on why or why not solid... both do have
vents in between the outer and inner portion of the rotors

Works for me

Bob #3 Black Pantera
