Thanks Chuck. I was thinking a local parts store(Pep Boys,NAPA,etc.) I did some digging in the archives and someone (I think JDeRyke?) mentioned a water cooled VW cross reference.

                 Well, to state the obvious: call the Byers boys at Precision ProFormance (?).   I would bet that they have what you need in stock *and* it should fit without thrashing.  FWIW.
