[DeTomaso] Starter

My 93 Mustang had a gear reduction starter - new from Ford. It sounded like
all the other Ford starters - i.e. nar na na nar nar nar.

I'm guessing the classic Chrysler sound comes from the way the gears are
cut. Maybe they're straight cut. Mongo don't know.

Car sound are important to know. It is the first sign of something is not
right.

The '60 - 70's Chevy and Ford sounded similar. The old Chrysler's used a
gear reduction
starter, the sounded much differant. I am not sure if the modern replacement
gear reduction
starters sound like the old Chysler's or not.

I found some starter sounds for you.
