To my knowlege, the '71-72 uses two piece seatbelt/shoulder harnessses
while the '73-74 actually had a one-piece belt/shoulder harness with a retractor
for the shoulder harness built into a recess in the rear firewall. So this
is not a popular mod that requires cutting a hole in early cars. I
personally like having the choice of either connecting, or not, the shouder strap(s)
with the stock setup.

As for groping around to find the ends, last year I added seat-belt holders
made from plastic Ford pickup belt-holders. When trimmed with a jacknife,
these work just fine to position the latch at the edge of the Pantera's
seats, fit well with only a bit of fiddling using all stock mounting bolts and
look good. Finally, a late '80s/early '90s Ford pickup extended-cab has seat
belts for the rear jump-seats that perfectly replace worn or broken Pantera
seat belt latches. The illustrated article on all this was in the May '08
POCA Newsletter. Cheers- J Deryke
