<<< However, the R-4S is worse than stock when stone cold. I have had a few scares on my
morning commute before I have had my coffee when I suddenly have to stop. My
non-caffeinated brain takes an extra slice of time to realize that I have to put my foot into it
harder to stop. >>>

That would be the stock brakes in your Nissa 300zx. Stone cold Porterfields are FAR SUPERIOR
to stock Pantera brake pads (cold or warm)! When I changed to the Porterfields, the OEM
stock pads in the Pantera (the same pads it rolled off the assembly line with) still looked
brand new after 95,000 miles.

I upgraded to Porterfields because I nearly rear-ended someone on my way to work one
morning when I stabbed the stock brakes in a panic stop and the car almost didn't stop. I still
can't believe I didn't hit the van in front of me; I must have been less than an inch from his
bumper!
