Bjoern,
     I haven't read all your posts but,  It sounds like you have gone to 
great lengths to get this taken care of.  I would say,  even if you don't 
receive your documents in time,  just take copies of what you have; 
receipts,  correspondence etc.,  and go have fun.  Even if you do get pulled 
over,  which is unlikely,  show the officer everything you have done and 
explain your situation.  I think you'll be fine,  It's not like there going 
to put you in prison and start waterboarding you.  :-)))
