I like the "live with it" part!

What I might do is wait until I get to Reno, since there will be a lot of experts there who can diagnose it, and perhaps do the bolt-tightening.  I don't actually own a torque wrench (yet).

That is the differential access cover and your leak is likely 80W90 gear oil. The cover requires a paper gasket which seldom fails, and with care is almost always re-useable. Its possible that you have a loose bolt from around the periphery of the cover, and you could cautiously try tightening all the bolts to more-or-less the same tension. They don't need much so don't use a 2 ft cheater bar on the wrench! Stripping one or breaking off a bolthead will generate a much larger leak and will be costly to fix. Or if the leak is small, live with it until after the Fun Rally. Good luck- J Deryke
