There are millions and millions of cars on US roads that have no proper 
tags, no insurance, no nothing.   In Europe, the police would set up a
firing 
squad for such an offense, but unfortunately here, they don't really care 
much.   They will pull over a car for speeding, find out the driver has no 
insurance, and the car isn't registered, and they'll just write him a ticket
and 
then let him drive away anyway!   It makes me crazy.

But that's good news for you.   I would feel perfectly comfortable with all 
the documentation you now have.   You own the car, and can prove that.   It 
has valid insurance.   You have made the effort to get the car registered, 
and can probably prove that too.   So at the very worst, you might get a 
short lecture from a police officer--and that's if he stops you.

I say relax, and just sleep well and get ready to have a lot of fun next 
week! :>)
