Before mounting in this manner, be sure to reinforce the inside of the door with a backing 
plate of some kind. A couple of PCNC members displayed several sets of these mirrors at 
last Thursday night's meeting (two sets in boxes and one set mounted to Trevor's car) and 
someone (don't recall who) said they had seen them mounted on another Pantera on the 
sides of the door skin and reported that they caused panel flex as there was no substance 
to that part of the door to support the weight and wind-loading forces of the mirrors against 
the door skin.  Just something to think about before you go drilling holes on the sides of 
your doors.

For those of you who considering mounting your Turbo Racing mirrors on the
side of the door instead of the top edge, here is a car with them that way.
They look OK, but stick out quite a bit.
