Absolutely.  This was also why the mirrors on the gen 2 testa rose were on those funky long stalks.  Better rear vision and the mirror bodies were out of the boundary layer of the cars airflow.  What do y'all think about putting nutserts in the doors and attaching the mirrors that way.  I am thinking less vibration in that manner.  Michael Shortt

Looks are one thing ( I do think it looks good) but I bet it is is more
effective at providing a good rear view. Look at the Maserati Race car on
the La Dolce Vita Promo. I hate to keep repeating my self but you always see
Race cars with long skinny masts placing the mirrors further away from the
