If anyone is actually serious about this car they should contact
Richard Merritt at the DOT 202-366-5300 BEFORE purchasing.
He will be able to look at the records and tell you if the EPA/DOT paperwork
is filed and correct for this car. Even send you copies if needed.

Dick, a real car guy by the way, was helpful when I recently got a
California BAR sticker for my gray market '83 512BBi Boxer.
If you want to see your state tax dollars at their most efficient try going
through that process!
