One idea is to buy a carburetor hat for a blow-through supercharger.  Attach
a hose, and a big conical air filter.  You may or may not like the look, but
it's going to be low profile, plus high flow.

Another idea is to buy a carburetor enclosure like the one from Vortech.
Yes, it's for blow-through superchargers setups too, but this one looks nice
enough to let it poke through the screen.

The dog bones come up every year.  Every year, we mention that we dyno'ed
them in Houston and saw no restrictions.  It came down to maybe 2hp versus
no filter at all - on a 377 stroker.  That's close enough to zero for me.
