[DeTomaso] Dog Bone (B & M) air cleaner

Keep in mind, there's at least three varients of the 'dogbone' air cleaner. 
I'd expect one or more to be taller than others and/or work better. If 
clearance was an issue and you don't want to alter the intake or the screen, consider 
using a 'Spectre' air cleaner assembly. This is a small 'hat' that bolts to 
the carb with two long tubular (adjustable) legs that stretch back and down, 
with two conical filters on the ends. Not only might this heavily blinged 
assembly (all polished 4" dia SS tubes) clear a stock screen, it also puts the 
filters at some distance away from engine heat and road debris that always flows up 
from the underside of our Pantera 'vacuum cleaners'. Two li'l problems: the 
assembly costs $280 (from Summit- pg 32 current catalogue) and because its new 
and expensive, no one's yet tried one. So no one can tell you if it fits to a 
given engine/intake combination. Maybe someone has connections? FWIW- J Deryke
