[DeTomaso] Brake vacuum tube and hose

Dear Barry,

I have two Panteras and I suspect that 35 years on those hoses is probably enough. Sign me up for an order of fourteen feet.

                            Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

  Hi Chuck

I just measured my old hoses. The rear one is 5ft long and the front is about 20 inches, so 7 ft will do the whole job.

    Dear Barry,

How much hose is needed for a Pantera, would you estimate?

                             Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

I bought it from KINECOR 2 years ago.
I just called them today and they have some in stock.
The price has gone up to $5.98/ft. Canadian including 12% taxes. ( less than
    $5.00/ft US today)
    The -08BLK suffix means it's a AN08 hose size and it's Black.
SOBill said he had had trouble getting some vendor hose on to the intake
fitting, so i just went and checked mine. this stuff fits snug but a perfect
    fit.

It si not suited for AIR BRAKES but that is a high pressure application. It
is very suitable for vacuum up to 28Hg and oil, fuel, etc. which is our
application. It appears to be very similar to, if not the same as, Ford used
at the DeTomaso factory while they were running it.

I have photos of my original hose next to this replacement if anyone is
really concerned with getting the right hose.

I'm willing to buy it and ship it from Canada for what it costs me if some
    guys want some.
I will send it to individuals, but it would cost less to ship if a bunch got
together in POCA chapters or a vendor and I sent it to them to distribute.

    Barry

I called and found some but it is 10.49$ per foot.

      It was also special order.

I was also told not to use it for brakes but I think he meant not to use
it for air brakes which is obviously different than what we use it for.

How long ago did you get it for 40$ ?

      CW
