Aside from the fact that most dimensions make it hard to fit a -0 into a Mangusta or Pantera there's much more to it than drilling the lube system if you flip the trans. The whole gear set is acting like a pump and various methods are used inside the case to deliberately distribute oil where it's best needed. An example is item 124 in the -2 which directs oil to channels in the rear cover to feed the drilled out input shaft to lube the gear bearings. This would not be needed in a lid up installation as the input shaft runs partly below oil level. Instead you see the funnel-like part 119 in the -0 which probably serves a similar function for another part of the trans in the lid up position.
