[DeTomaso] Pandora's about to turn ugly

You also have Jeff Kimball who might be able to help with his trailer and
truck. Remember also, if the engine and ZF are still out of the car, you'll
need a cherry picker and pickup to baul those back as well, not to mention
all the other loose parts. You'll only get one shot if you show up at his
doorstep. Any parts you discover missing will probably have to remain that
way.

Be prepared.

Mike

Unfortunately, there'w no point in calling the engine builder tomorrow.
What transpired on the phone today left no doubt what I wanted.

If I hear nothing by Friday, I'll start looking for someone with a flatbed.
I know someone who probably could help--the guy who did my frame work
earlier this year.

Sincerely,

Chris

PS: I've been saving all my emails to the forum; they tell the sad tale
almost in its entirety.

way. Just my opinion, but I would make a follow-up call to the shop owner on
Tuesday. "Just calling to make sure my vehicle is going to be delivered to
my house on Thursday." If he feels the problem is still between you and
Randy just remind him that he was the one that entrusted your car to
Randy...so it is his problem. Not sure what an attorney would advise, maybe
sending over a stern letter on their letterhead will light a fire under them
but while its fresh in your mind you should write down all of your
conversation's with Dates & Times...that you have had with the Shop Owner
and Randy. Possibly take pictures showing the vehicle sitting in the back of
the garage.

is blocking. If there is a possibility of loose parts I would suggest
bringing plastic storage bins that fit in your car or thick plastic sheets
(drop cloth) to line your trunk with. and bring disposable gloves. something
will probably have oil all over it.

poor missing Pantera (which isn't really missing now, since I know it's
location, but it's missing from my garage, nonetheless).

dropped it off almost 8 weeks ago) and told him I finally met his mechanic
friend who has the car. I told him I was not really confident in the
mechanic's abilities, let alone timeliness, and I wanted the car back by
Thursday.

car delivered to my house by Thursday, either together or in pieces, he said
he had no way to get it. He sounded irritated that I would expect him to do
anything more than try to call Randy, especially when I told him he should
just do what I had to do on Saturday, namely physically drive out to Randy's
house. (Randy, as you'll remember, has a penchanct for ignoring phone
calls).

problem. I gave him Randy's home address and suggested he hire a flatbed to
get me my car back.
