Chris, how about calling the man who has your car in the garage and telling him you will be there to pick it and arrange a time for him to meet you there, so that he could help you gather parts. Does the first mechanic shop have any parts? Was the garage locked where the car sits now? You could always call the police and tell them you will be removing the car from the garage and would they come along. I am supposing they will say it is a domestic matter, good luck call us if there is any violence. Maybe the best approach is talking to the mechanic who has the car in the garage and getting him there to open it up so that you can retrieve your car. When attorney;s get involved that tends to make them mad and might distroy even more of your car. Just thoughts! Talk to you soon. Sue
