[DeTomaso] DeTomaso] Fwd: gauges that fog during use

My car lived the first 16years of its life in Kentucky, which does see
some humidity
The last 20 years have been in Los Angeles, which sees almost none.
My car's heater core is shut out of the cooling system with auxiliary
valves on both lines to it for 10-15 yrs and I have never seen any
moisture anywhere in the car.
So I don't think the fogging implies any problems really.

I find it hard to believe that any automotive gauge is built literally
air-tight. This means that over time the gauge interior will assume the
temperature and humidity of he ambient atmosphere. When a car lives in
a hot and
humid area I'm not surprised if when you start driving the car and turn
on the
AC fog will appear on the glass. Do people in dry areas see less of
this?
Tomas, living in a generally cold and wet area...

There is probably no individual
in the
Pantera community as knowledgeable and experienced with Pantera
electronics
as Jon.

circumstances. Yes the heat from the bulbs accelerates the condensation
problem.
My problem and many others are from high humidity. This does not
necessarily
indicate that there is a coolant leak in the passenger compartment.

properly sealed
to begin with. If these units were properly sealed, I do not think the
bulb
wattage /or high humidity would cause any condensation.
