[DeTomaso] "Be Cool" Making a new Coolant?

Ken:

For what it's worth, this coolant, at $30 a gallon (you use NO water, only BeCool liquid -as a guess, you'll have to buy 6 or 7 gallons for the average Pantera), is not any cheaper than the proven Evans products. The Evans coolants are far superior, create no dissimilar metals corrosion, have a 375° boiling point at atmospheric pressure (7 PSI max if your coolant system needs a pressure differential in order to get good circulation), and have many other positive benefits.

The BeCool products look like a modification of the "old standard" antifreeze coolant, so I'm not sure why you would pay that much for the same kind of product that you would be replacing (when you pour this stuff into your cooling system). They've changed the formula such that it's a long life coolant, good for 300,000 miles. But the current OEM coolants are close to that life...

Of course their web site is pretty, and they have shiny radiators, with polished brackets....

But that's just my cynical opinion....

> Just saw an add for this, claims to be easy on aluminim, lasts 300,000 miles. It is a "new generation propylene glycol formula". You can read about it on their web site www.becool.com . Has anyone looked into it?
