In the case of the missing Pantera; today I learned that on Monday the new,
repaired motor was transported to the mechanic's shop.  Just in time, since
I got the mechanic's home address from the police, and I was just getting
ready to holster the .357 magnum and head out to have a little meeting.

"It should be ready in a couple of days," I was told.

I've heard that before.
