[DeTomaso] Under car water pipes

I realize this comment will sound redneck, but...

Has anyone considered cutting slots so the water tubes can simply be raised
into the body? You could make your own removable brackets to hold them up.

I haven't seriously considered this, but I've often wondered if we've gone
out of our way engineering a complicated solution (multi-piece tubes) for a
simple problem (a couple of simple cuts + brackets).

I don't remember the thickness of the metal where the water tubes are
routed. If it's thin sheet metal, it might be worth it. If it's thick, I
wouldn't want to cut it.

This makes the most sense from an assembly perspective. Thank you for
the explanation. Four pipes it is then. :)
