As far as I know...no where.  There are plate type that are bolted between the head and exhaust manifold flange and there are

bronze (I think) that are expoxy bonded the the port floor.  You're probaly not welding on a cast iron head and there may be

aluminum tongues to weld into an alloy heads but I personally don't know of any.  I like the sheet metal units if I were going to use any.  Hope that helps.
