[DeTomaso] When Shelby passes

The Local Mustang Club has a connection with him someway, maybe they
all do, events raise money for his charity.

At all their events, they auction hand signed 1:18 scale die cats
Shelbys of all vintages and Cobras.

Cheapest ones go for $150 and I've see them go for $400.00 with a
matcing signed hat.

Same thing in Toys R Us is 39.99

The cynic in me thainks he wholesales these at $100.00 to the clubs
and they pay in advance knowing they will get more
and then they send the difference back in, but i guess Shelby could
just send them out hoping for the best in return.

Either way, it's a pretty cool way to use your name, helping other
people and ol' Shel realizes that
those who want his autograpgh can afford a little charity for the priviledge.

I bought one myself (2005 Mustang in White with Blue Stripes), it sits
next to the Tom T. autographed Hot Wheels Pantera die cast.

I hope he's around long enough to sell lots more of them.

BTW, was anybody else surprised how few YELLOW Panteras were at Reno,
I thought there would be more,
YOU KNOW, since it's the best color and all.
