It must be that there is, somewhere on a shelf in the GM Powertrain archives, a V12 engine.

It had to be the second step of a modular engine program, from the ZO6 8 cylinder to the 16 cylinder Sweet 16 that was shown about three years ago in a very well received running Cadillac concept car.  It was limited to 1000 HP.  The newer Corvette powerplants show that there truly was a lot more left to be had.
Dr. Eng. Fritz Indra was then in charge of Powertrain Development at GM.
