[DeTomaso] Ford Taurus SHO

Guys,

I do track time with some supreme nut job dedicated SHO guys.

They have extra motors that they have bought up from wrecks and they can
barely get bearings for them. Much less oversize pistons or custom ground
bump sticks.

They are wonderful guys, but if we think we have a hard time getting parts,
think about getting parts for a Yamaha designed engine assembled by a boat
engine manufacturer.

Or was that the 4 valve corvette motor... hard to track all the orphans out
there :-)

Sitting around bored, reading a magazine about the Taurus SHO.

It has a twin-turbo, direct-injection six-cylinder, 3.5 liter turbo V-6 -
with 365 hp.

What would be a comparable V-8 for the Pantera???  How many cc's?  How much
hp?  Who makes it now?
